STYLING VARIATION: “I wanted to achieve a more polished hairstyle, going from a bob to a sleek and strongly pulled back look. The idea was to create a modern version of the classical French pleat, creating a flat, tight shape. We used Volumizing Powder on the inside and the center to give more volume and applied some of the new Shaping Gel to pull the hair away from the face”

1. Section the hair as shown. Be sure to seperate a disconnected triangle section in the front.
2. Section the hair as shown. Be sure to seperate a disconnected triangle section in the front.
3. Begin at the nape section. Cut the hair vertically with a 45 degree angle. Work the section around the back without overdirection.
4. Pointcut the baseline horizontally.
5. Clip the nape section, starting from the top of the head, comb the hair upwards and cut parallel to the head shape. Continue taking horizontal section towards the hair line elevating the hair back to the previous section.
6. Connect the overhangs freehand by slicing them.
7. Open the disconnected front section and cut between the lip and chin, maintaining the weight.
8. Blow-dry the hair. Reduce additional weight in the nape area with pointcutting.
9. Freehand the top section to reduce weight.
10. Personalize the fringe with slicing.
